White Named Co-Big South Player of the Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Big South Conference announced on Monday afternoon that USC Upstate junior guard Dalvin White (Norcross, Ga.) and Winthrop senior guard Chandler Vaudrin are the Big South Co-Players of the Week.

This is the first player of the week honor for Dalvin White in his career and he is the first Upstate player to hold the honor since Malik Moore earned the recognition on December 10, 2018.

White posted career outings against Longwood in back-to-back games this past week. The Peach State native scored 17-points on Monday night and then rest his career high with a 20-point outing against the Lancers the following night. Over the two game series, White averaged 18.5 points per game, 4.0 rebounds per game, 3.0 assists per game, 2.0 steals per game, shot a team high .619 percent from the field and .643 from beyond the arch.

The USC Upstate men’s basketball team will be back in action this week against Hampton University on January 14-15, 2021. Tip-off is set for 6:00 p.m., inside the G.B. Hodge Center.
