CHARLESTON, S.C. – Charleston Southern head women’s golf coach Jordan Jeffers announced the 2021 spring schedule on Monday afternoon. The Bucs will compete in five regular season events prior to the 2021 Big South Championships held in mid-April.
Highlighting the schedule includes a pair of early tournaments held inside the Palmetto State, while the Bucs will also travel to tournaments in Florida, North Carolina, and Georgia.
“I can speak for all my players when I say we are very excited for the 2021 season to get started,” Jeffers said. “Being out of competition for this long has everyone fired up and ready to go. We will see some great golf courses and tournament fields that will have us more than ready to battle for a Big South Conference Championship in April.”
The Bucs open the 2021 spring schedule at the Battle at Old South hosted by the University of Cincinnati on January 29-31. The Bucs continue the season at the Amelia Island Invitational hosted by Jacksonville University at the Amelia National Golf Club on February 15-16.
The Bucs close out February and open March at the Kiawah Classic hosted by the College of Charleston. The three-day event will span February 28-March 2 and will take place at the Oak Point Golf Course on Kiawah Island.
CSU continues the schedule on March 8-9 at the River Landing Classic hosted by UNC Wilmington at the River Landing Golf Club. The Bucs close out the regular season on March 28-30 at the Georgia State Women’s Intercollegiate held at the Rivermont Golf Club in Johns Creek, Ga. The 2021 Big South Women’s Golf Championships will run from April 14-17 at The Patriot Golf Club in Ninety Six, S.C. The first three days will be stroke play, before the deciding final day will feature match play with the final four teams.
