Conway, S.C. – In place of the “Step Up to the Plate” Dinner and in-person silent auction due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Coastal Carolina baseball is holding an online auction with all proceeds going directly to benefit the Grand Strand Miracle Leagues and the Mike Pruitt Scholarship Fund.

The baseball program has been involved with the Grand Strand Miracle Leagues for the past 15 years, helping the athletes during the games with hitting, pitching, fielding, and coaching.

Items for auction this year include baseball, golf, football, movies, music, and comics memorabilia, trip packages, locally donated items, a golf cart, and of course, several Coastal Carolina baseball items.

The online auction is open from Feb. 14 to Feb. 21. Make sure to get your bids in now!

The Mike Pruitt Scholarship Fund was established in the summer of 2008 and provides scholarships to underprivileged kids ages 8-12 to attend the Coastal Carolina Youth Baseball Camps. The youngsters are introduced to advanced instruction in throwing, fielding, hitting, base-running, and team defense by the Coastal Carolina University Baseball Camp staff and student-athletes.

About the Grand Strand Miracle League & Mike Pruitt Scholarship Fund
During the past 15 years, our players and coaches have devoted a great deal of time to the Grand Strand Miracle League, a baseball league for individuals with special needs. We also support the work of the Mike Pruitt Scholarship Fund, which provides scholarships for underprivileged kids ages 8-12 to attend the CCU Youth Baseball Camp. The funds from this auction will greatly benefit the children involved. When we act together as the CCU baseball community, our efforts can make a real difference.
