GREENVILLE, S.C. — Furman head baseball coach Brett Harker has announced a schedule change for the Paladins’ upcoming four-game home series against Harvard due to potential inclement weather.
Furman and Harvard will now play a Friday doubleheader beginning at 3:00 p.m. at Latham Stadium. The twinbill will be two seven-inning contests.
The Paladins and Crimson open the four-game set on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. and will conclude the series with a single game on Saturday starting at 1:00 p.m.
Furman (10-6), which claimed an 8-3 road win over Winthrop on Tuesday, has won seven of its last nine games.
The Paladins’ starting pitching rotation versus Harvard includes sophomore right-hander Trent Alley (1-0, 3.14 ERA) in Thursday’s opener, followed by redshirt junior right-hander Nik Verbeke (3-1, 4.41 ERA) and Grant Schuermann (2-2, 3.81 ERA) in Friday’s doubleheader, and freshman left-hander Matt Lazzaro (1-2, 5.48 ERA) in Saturday’s finale.
