FLORENCE, SC – The Francis Marion University women’s volleyball team will hold its annual Sea of Red Match on Tuesday (Sept. 26) at 7 p.m. when the Patriots play host to USC Aiken.
Admission is free. The match will be streamed live online courtesy of the Patriot Sports Network.
Francis Marion is 4-7 overall and 1-2 in PBC action, while the conference-leading Pacers are 10-2 and 2-0 and have won 10 straight matches. The Patriots lead the all-time series 45-43, in what is the most renewed series in FMU volleyball history.
Francis Marion junior hitter Georgia Garrison leads the squad with 3.47 kills and 0.31 service aces per set and is second in digs per set at 3.72. Junior setter Carrie McGinnis is averaging 8.98 assists per set, while sophomore libero Natalie Vaughn is digging up 4.60 balls per set. Sophomore Lenee’ Blot paces FMU in hitting percentage at (.264).
FMU has won seven of its last eight home matches dating back to last season.
