The South Carolina Gamecocks added a top target to their 2017 recruiting class Tuesday afternoon when 2017 Concord, NC Safety Hamsah Nasirildeen (6’3″ 210lbs) committed to the Gamecocks.

Nasirildeen, considered by many to be a top 3 prospect from the state of North Carolina and top 150 prospect in the country, chose the Gamecocks over his other finalists, Florida and Florida State.  Nasirildeen also held offers from other schools such as:  Alabama, Charlotte, Clemson, East Carolina, Georgia, Georgia Southern, Maryland, Michigan, NC State, Notre Dame, Ole Miss, Penn State, Southern Cal, Temple, Tennessee, Virginia Tech, and West Virginia.

The news of Nasirildeen’s commitment began to spread after South Carolina Coach Will Muschamp fired off one of his patented #SpursUp tweeets indicating a new commitment.  Shortly thereafter Nasirildeen tweeted a picture of himself with Coach Mushchamp, Coach Travaris Robinson, and Coach Bobby Bentley, tagging it with #SpursUp as well.

While Nasirildeen is a coveted athlete on the gridiron, he is also a talented basketball player as well.  You can see the explosive abilities of Nasirildeen on the football field as well as the basketball court in the highlight video below.
